About me

Since early in my life, I discovered my passion in working with people. I find it a profound and precious experience connecting with others at a deeper level. I believe in the uniqueness of each individual and everyone has different strengths, weaknesses and needs. Each encounter reveals endless possibilities and what lies in the possibilities is hope.

I believe in the uniqueness of each individual and everyone has different strengths, weaknesses and needs.

My experience

Since completing my clinical training in 2010, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings in Hong Kong and the UK. During this time, I have gained extensive experience working with individuals across various age groups, including children, young people, working-age adults, older adults, and their families.

Currently, I serve as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at a mental health hospital within the NHS. Having grown up in an Asian culture and later moved to the UK, I have developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and understand the importance of providing culturally sensitive therapy. As an English and Chinese-speaking psychologist, I am able to work with clients in the language they feel most comfortable with.

With a solid foundation of knowledge and skills, I aim to understand your struggles and offer a personalized approach tailored to your unique needs, regardless of your background. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Eye Movement Desentization Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Mindfulness / Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

My qualifications

  • Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC / PYL040661) and the British Psychological Society (BPS)

  • Completed teacher training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

  • Completed training in Eye Movement Desentization Reprocessing (EMDR), part I and II
